A MURDER investigation has been launched after a body of a man was found in Nine Mile Ride earlier today.
Thames Valley Police currently has a presence on the Wokingham Without road.
An injured man was found in the road shortly after 2pm.
Although emergency services provided medical treatment at the scene, he didn’t respond and died in the road.
Now a scenewatch is in place while officers are conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances and a murder investigation has been launched.
Detective Superintendent Ian Hunter, Head of the Major Crime unit, said: “We are in the very early stages of enquiries and have now launched a murder investigation.
“I would like to hear from anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious in Nine Mile Ride near the New Acres Caravan Site and Pineridge Park Homes at around 2pm on Monday (5/11) to contact police. If you have any details which you think may assist our investigation, please come forward and speak to officers.
“We will keep the community updated once further information is available.”
