WOKINGHAM tennis star Marcus Willis will face two of the biggest names in the sport when he competes in the Tie Break Tens tournament in Vienna at the weekend.
Willis, ranked 495 in the world, shot to fame in the summer when he came through six qualifying matches before reaching the second round of Wimbledon where he lost to Roger Federer on Centre Court.
And his reward is an invitation to play in the fast-paced competition in Austria where six men battle it out for a $250,000 winner-takes-all prize pot.
Willis has been drawn in Group B alongside world number 2 Andy Murray and former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic, a man Willis considers an idol of his.
Group A sees Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Dominic Thiem, two men in the world’s top 16, alongside veteran Tommy Haas.
All matches are a first to 10 points ‘tie-break’ with all games completed in one evening. The top two from each group will progress to the semi-finals.
The event will be streamed on Facebook Live on the Tie Break Tens Facebook page on Sunday and Sky Sports Tennis from 6pm.
Order of play (from 6pm):
