A MOTHER and daughter will be the next acts on the stage of the Nettlebed Folk Club.
Returning after a break for the Whitsun bank holiday, the popular club is welcoming Chris and Kellie While when it opens again on Monday.
This is a rare chance to hear them perform together.
Chris sings for St Agnes Fountain and it’s said that Kellie has an uncannily similar vocal quality meaning that it can be easy to lose sight of who is who, even if they have their own distinctive style and sound.
Their pleasure in singing together is obvious and when they duet, it’s easy to lose sight of who is who even though separately they have their own distinctive sound and style.
Kellie said: “For us, singing together comes almost as naturally as breathing – it feels right and I suppose that’s partly due to our special bond and to the physical aspect of being related and partly because it’s something we have done ever since I was small.
“There’s no ego, no competition – just two women who love to sing together for the pure joy of it. We just happen to be Mother and daughter.”
Doors to the Nettlebed Village Club open at 7.45pm and the concert starts at 8pm on Monday, June 3.
