A LOOK at the role Christians can play in tackling climate change will be explored in a new talk taking place in Wokingham next weekend.
Faith In A Changing Climate is a talk with a buffet supper that will take place on Saturday, June 1 from 7.30pm at All Saints Church in Wiltshire Road.
The guest speakers will be The Most Revd Dr Winston Halapua and his wife The Revd Sue Halapua.
The former Archbishop of Aotearoa New Zealand & Polynesia is a leading global Anglican voice on climate change and as seen first hand the effects of global warming: in his home country of Tonga, rising sea levels have led to the sinking of smaller islands sinking and increased salivation. Climate change has also caused unpredictable storms and flooding in the islands of Polynesia.
He will also be speaking at church services on Sunday, June 2: an 8am communion service, a 9.30am communion service and an 11am family service.
