PUPILS from a Wokingham town centre primary school were gripped with Winter Olympic fever – so much so that they staged their very own version of the games.
Organised by St Teresa’s teacher Emilie Smith – who used to be team manager for Skeleton gold medal winner Lizzy Yarnold and teammate Laura Deas – classes tried their hand at a range of sports including indoor curling.
Ms Smith gave the Key Stage Two pupils tips on how to throw special curling stones at targets and then challenged them to mini-tournaments.
And the pupils also enjoyed their very own Olympic torch relay, with the flame being shared between classes through the week.
