CHILDREN and parents from a nursery school in Wokingham managed to raise more than £700 simply by playing games.
Youngsters past and present from Meadow Nursery, in Murray Road, flocked to play Whack-A-Mole, take a pick from the tombola and have their faces painted as part of the nursery’s autumn fundraising evening on Friday, October 20.
Organiser and mum Vicki Judd said: “We took £741 at the event, which is a tremendous amount considering we are a small nursery school and this was a significant increase over last year’s takings.
“All the families, past and present, had a great time. The money will be used to fund a new piece of outdoor play equipment.”
