A PROPERTY in Wokingham has been issued a full closure order by police following reports of criminal behaviour.
An address in Budges Road was issued a full closure order by Reading Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Thursday) under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014.
The order is for a period of three months from the date of issue and excludes anyone from entering the property including the occupants during that time.
The closure order was the result of a joint working initiative between the Bracknell and Wokingham policing team ASB officer and Wokingham Borough Council.
This action has been taken after ongoing reports of criminal behaviour and disorder associated both with the address and the surrounding area.
Sgt Howard Rose, of the Early Intervention Policing Team, said; “This address was the subject of numerous complaints of alleged drug use and drug supply. This closure order will provide some well needed respite for residents and other members of the public in the immediate area.
“Thames Valley Police is committed to keeping our communities safe and tackling issues such as anti-social behaviour and drug use in Wokingham. Residents are reminded to contact their local policing team on 101 if they have any ASB related issues in their area.”
