A man who has disappeared after being released on licence is being sought by Police.
Own Lewis, 52, was released on licence from HMP Stafford in November last year – this means that he was serving part of his sentence by living in the community rather than in jail.
However, Thames Valley Police said that Lewis has breached his licence and is now a wanted man.
Lewis has connections to Scotland and is white, 5ft 6 to 5ft 7ins, slim, with short cropped dark hair which is balding on top.
Contact the police if you see him
Investigating officer, PC Anna Dwyer from Reading police station, said: “If anyone has seen Lewis or a man matching Lewis’ description or knows anything about his whereabouts, please contact me via the 24-hour 101 number as soon as possible. If you are in Scotland please call Scotland Police on 01415352000.
“Always dial 999 in an emergency or if there is immediate danger.”
If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
