Now, I do like a tidy house. Not over-tidy so it gleams like the face of a Hollywood actor fresh from their monthly appointment with the plastic surgeon.
But when I saw this lovely house for rent in lovely Hurst, I immediately thought: “That looks tidy.”
Perhaps it’s the corner setting. Maybe it’s the sturdy fence. Or it could be the clean, spacious interior. If you’re looking for a well maintained and easily maintainable apartment, then book yourself a viewing appointment as soon as possible.
If, like me, you’re trying to swap your Pavarotti-sized jogging trousers for a Mick Jagger waistline in time for Easter, you will appreciate the exterior storage space which would be ideal for a bike.
However, if like me, you are still making return trips to the takeaway by car, there is also off-street parking.
To keep the apartment even more tidy, this property has a large, easily accessed attic for Christmas decorations, that ugly orange vase from Auntie Nora and even exercise machines if you have already started on your own cream egg trail.
The living room is bright and sunny with pleasant views.
In fact, there are good views from all windows of this house which cannot be said for every property.
It’s often the case that an open view from the main rooms means those at the rear are smaller or perhaps looking onto a dull courtyard, but that is not the case here – it really is a lovely find.
And when it comes to the bedrooms, these are a treat too.
The very large master bedroom has a built-in Sharps triple wardrobe with drawers and hanging space providing adequate storage. That’s a nice touch.
The second bedroom is also a double which means no need to fight for the biggest room.
Budding chefs will appreciate the kitchen.
This is equally a good size with all the modern appliances one would expect including fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, water softener and space for the gas boiler.
I particularly liked the white tiled walls, very contemporary and stylish and easy to keep clean.
This little Hurst gem is available now with the option of a long-term lease, ideal if you are looking to settle into
a new job as it will allow you to really appreciate all there is to offer locally.
The price is quite tidy too at just £231pw or £1,000pcm.
