Californian punk band Plague Vendor have announced a string of upcoming performances including an appearance at this year’s Reading Festival.

The four-strong group comprises musicians Brandon Blaine (vocals), Michael Perez (bass), Luke Perine (drums and percussion) and Jay Rogers (guitar) and has a five year history including numerous signings, recording sessions at Hollywood’s EastWest Studios, and gigs across Europe.

And the band’s Reading Festival set will take place on the Lock-Up Stage of the music event on Sunday, August 25.

Fans can expect to hear the group’s signature 60s and 70s punk renditions as well as their 2016 debut album BLOODSWEAT, widely-acclaimed EP Free to Eat, and earlier singles including New Comedown, All of the Above and Let Me Get High\Low

The festival appearance will also follow the release of their new album By Night and latest single, Prism.

Drummer for Plague Vendor, Luke Perine said:  “This was the first song where I could use a breakbeat on this album.

“I was inspired by Beck’s Devil’s Haircut. There are drum breaks on the track but not solos. It was pure fun.”

The band will also be appearing at venues including Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium, Point Epehermere arts centre in Paris, Paradiso Noord in Amsterdam, and Leeds Festival this summer.
