Reading Women defender Harriet Scott has won the Football Association Ireland Senior Women’s International Player of the Year award.
Scott has come through the youth ranks with the Royals but is currently out injured with a broken collarbone, but she travelled to Dublin to lift the trophy on Sunday evening.
A relative newcomer to the national side, Scott, 25, beat off competition from Manchester City’s Megan Campbell and Denise O’Sullivan, who plays in America, to win the prestigious award.
Reading are due back in action this Sunday, away to leaders Chelsea Ladies, before hosting Yeovil Town Ladies on March 28.
