Ruscombe Voice (RV), a second group formed to fight the possible 3,500 homes, has held a meeting for residents to meet a top local planner.
Thirty residents met Wokingham Borough Council’s executive member for strategic highways and planning, Councillor David Lee.
One of RV’s founder members Jane Holmes said: “We heard first hand from the man responsible for planning in this area.
“He was helpful. He explained the pressure the council is under from central government to find five years of housing land supply.”
She said it was important to lobby central government to get the number of homes required under this reduced. And she added that the pressure to build on green belt was “ridiculous”.
