JON Dadi Bodvarsson has left Reading on a permanent deal to join Millwall for an undisclosed fee.
The Royals have now sold three first team players in their hope to freshen up the squad and raise funds to bring in some new talent.
The Icelandic striker spent two seasons at the Madejski Stadium having been purchased from Wolverhampton Wanderers in July 2017.
He made a promising start to his Royals career after he followed up his first goal for the club in the Championship against Birmingham City by bagging a hat-trick in the FA Cup third round against Stevenage.
He netted seven league goals in 33 Championship appearances in his debut season at the club but was used a more sporadic option last season, only managing 20 league appearances and matched his first season tally of seven goals.
Bodvarsson left a parting message to the Reading fans: “To all Reading FC fans. I would like to thank you for my time at the club. I’m very grateful for everything and all in all it was an enjoyable journey, with its ups and downs but that I’ll always remember. I’d also like to thank my fantastic teammates and the good people who work there.”
