A FUN day to raise money for rescued horses proved to be a huge hit last weekend.
SAFE (Saving Abandoned Fly-Grazing Equines) held the End of Summer Fun Day on Saturday, September 12 at Cantley Park, in Twyford Road.
Pony rides, farm animals and inflatable games kept families entertained, while the Novelty Dog show was won overall by Izzy, a Maltese cross who was rescued from the streets of Doha, in Qatar.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “What a fantastic day we had at our End of Summer Fun Day in Wokingham! The sun shone and our supporters turned out in droves. Our volunteers have been flat out for the last few days and were up at the crack of dawn today to get everything in order.”
The charity’s next event will be a Charity Dinner & Dance at Windlesham Golf Club on Saturday, October 14.
