THE family of a woman found dead in a Shinfield home on Boxing Day have said that she was a “kind and generous person” who lived life to the full.
Mother-of-one Angela Mittal was 41 and from Shinfield. She, along with husband Laurens Brand, moved in to the new Shinfield Meadows development in the summer. They had previously been living in Rotterdam but moved to be closer to her family.
Police were called to the couple’s home in Parker Close on Tuesday, December 26, around 5.40am after she was found dead at the scene. A post-mortem yesterday concluded that she died of stab wounds.
Mr Brand, aged 47, of Parker Close, Shinfield, has been charged with one count of murder and appeared at Reading Magistrates Court today for a preliminary hearing, he will now appear at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday, January 2.
Thames Valley Police released a statement on behalf of Angela’s family.
