A NEW curry house is due to open in Shinfield Thursday.
The Six Bells in Church Lane closed as a Hungry Horse pub last month.
Since then it has been given a makeover as a family-friendly Indian-themed diner.
It will retain its name but, as part of the revamp, has been guven new signs.
Inside, there will be changes to the layout including the bar and seating arrangements.
Two access doors at the rear of the pub have been removed.
The pub has retained its children’s play area and the menu is being advertised as serving non-halal North Indian cuisine as well as English dishes.
A sign promises that it will be a “great value family pub”.
A spokesperson for Greene King said: “We can confirm the Six Bells in Shinfield will re-open on Thursday, December 20, in partnership with a new licensee after significant refurbishment.
“The Six Bells will feature an exciting new menu, packed with both North Indian and English dishes.”
