EARLIER today a woman from Sonning announced that she was moving seats from the front of her office to the back.
Theresa May, who has lived in the village for a number of years but has a high-flying job in London, told her colleagues that she would now be moving to the backbenches.
Standing at the front of her workplace at lunchtime today she said: “I will continue with my duties in this house from the backbenches where I will continue to be the Member of Parliament for Maidenhead.”
Her space in her workplace has taken by someone else, but it remains to be seen how long he will be able to sit in her seat.
