Children and their parents and carers got into the Hallowe’en spirit at an Autumn fundraiser at Meadow Nursery last month.
The annual event, which took place at the pre school in Murray Road on Friday, October 19, had a fancy dress theme and the tots donned their spookiest outfits.
More than £1,000 was raised on the night, with visitors guessing the weight of the pumpkin and how many conkers in the jar, as well as pinning the spider on the web, pig racing and of course lucky dip and face paints.
A barbecue and mulled wine kept the adults entertained. There was also an autumn themed colouring competition, with prizes for the best two entries.
Debbie Hill, nursery manager, said: “The autumn evening is always a fantastic event for our children, and provides families with a fun alternative to Fireworks Night.
“This year we were blessed with fantastic weather and the event raised Funds which will be invested back into the nursery to make improvements to our garden for our children.
“Thank you to everyone who supported the event and made it the success it was.”
