A NEW town centre development proved that it was hot property as visitors packed out its launch day.
Romans estate agents held a special open house on Saturday to celebrate the launch of 44 Finchampstead Road, a new development of 21 one and two bedroom apartments in central Wokingham.
The high specification flats, just on the corner of Carey Road and a short walk from Wokingham train station, include secure underground parking and a communal garden. It is also very close to the town centre.
The four-level development features open plan kitchen/lounges with minimalist gloss fitted kitchens, integrated appliances and, in some apartments, a breakfast bar.
The bathrooms and en-suites feature stylish sanitary ware by Rocca and non-slip floor and wall tiles, an illuminated LED bathroom mirror and a back-to-the-wall toilet with a concealed cistern.
Underfloor heating, oak floor panels and LED ceiling spotlights help complete with layout, and bedrooms have a 100% New Zealand wool fitted carpet.
As well as a dedicated underground parking space, residents also benefit from a videocom entry system and the communal gardens will have landscaping to complement the architecture.
The apartments range from £220,000 for a one-bedroom apartment to £330,000 for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment.
Zoë Smith, New Homes Client Account Manager was pleased with how the first day went.
Speaking to The Wokingham Paper she said: “We saw high levels of visitors during the launch who were all very impressed with the high specification and space the apartments offered.
“There was a good mixture of investors and first-time buyers who were able to take advantage of the Help to Buy scheme, and several properties were reserved on the day.”
