HOLES are to be dug on a busy main road, to allow contractors to look into them.
Wokingham Borough Council’s roads contractor, Balfour Beatty, has announced that it is to install temporary traffic lights – two-way and four-way – on Reading Road from Monday.
The three-day scheme will see ground investigation works, known as trial holes, at four different locations along the road that links Winnersh with Wokingham. It will help with preparations for the North Wokingham Distributor Road scheme.
The lights will be in operation between 9.30am and 3.30pm and access for local residents will be maintained at all times.
This means they are off-peak works, however there may be some delays as a result of the works.
