Thames Valley Kings Division 3 team made the long drive to Plymouth on Saturday to Play against Plymouth Raiders 2 in the British Wheelchair basketball National League Division 3 Central & South West. The game started fast paced with both teams scoring regularly but it was Plymouth who took the lead at the end of the first 14-11.
Kings fought back strong in the second quarter, which continued to see a lot of back and fought from both teams, Raiders edging at half- time 20-19.
Kings continued the fightback in the third quarter and managed to tie the game going into the fourth at 30 all at the end of the third quarter.
The start of the fourth quarter saw the same back and fought action However a resurgence from the Raiders towards at end of the quarter saw them secure the game 44-36.
Peter Rapley scored 30 of the points for the Kings and secured himself as one of the top two highest scoring players in Division Three matches over this fixture weekend by British Wheelchair Basketball.
The Division Three team will be next be in action against Swansea Storm on November 2.
Kings will also continue to offer additional competitive wheelchair basketball opportunities by entering the newly formed UKWB league, in the South League facing Hackney Sparrows, Brixton Ballers, High Rollers and Bury Bombers. The fixtures for that league start this weekend on Sunday.
