COMMUNITY groups across the Thames Valley are being invited to apply for a new funding pot.
Each month, David Wilson Homes Southern will donate £1,000 to a charity or organisation that works within Berkshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire.
The Community Fund aims to boost ties in the areas in which the company is building new homes, including Montague Park in Wokingham and Croft Gardens in Spencers Wood.
Paul Crispin, managing director of David Wilson Homes Southern, said: “We’re delighted to be launching the Community Fund, a scheme which will
be able to offer valuable support to those in need within the local areas in which we build.
“As the country’s largest housebuilder we are committed to creating a positive legacy.
“We want to lead the industry not just in the quality of the homes and developments we build, but also in our work with charities and good causes throughout the UK.”
The new scheme builds on the firm’s charity work.
This year’s charity of the year is Thames Valley Air Ambulance, while last year £1.2 million was donated across the company in the UK.
