A MIXTURE of classic and modern films are to be shown as part of a film club.
The Knowl Hill Village Association runs the club over the first Friday evening and Sunday afternoon of each month. Entry is by membership, which can be purchased on the door of each screening.
On Friday, October 5, the film will be The Shape of Water. The 12a movie is an unusual love story between and woman and an amphibious creature being held in captivity. Doors open at 7.30pm.
Two days later, the new Jumanji film, starring former Doctor Who assistant Karen Gillan, will be shown at 3pm.
The Darkest Hour, a film about the Second World War and a dilemma that faces Winston Churchill, will be screen on Friday, November 2, while the classic Doris Day film Calamity Jane will be shown on Sunday, November 4.
The most recent Star Wars film, the Last Jedi, is on the big screen on Friday, December 7, and the final film this year will be a showing of the Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway version of The Thomas Crown Affair. This starts at 6.30pm.
All films will be screened in the village hall, in The Terrace in Knowl Hill.
