THIEVES who broke into a pharmacy and attempted to steal a safe are wanted by police who have released a CCTV image of a car officers would like to trace in connection with the burglary.
Thames Valley Police said that they want more information about a white Skoda Octavia which had been driven on stolen number plates.
The attempted theft took place at 10.15pm last Sunday – January 21. The thieves drove into the rear car park at the back of Lloyds Pharmacy in High Street, Crowthorne.
Although they forced entry through the rear doors of Lloyds Pharmacy with a crowbar, their attempts to steal the safe was unsuccessful and Thames Valley Police said that they left empty-handed.
There are thought to be two men involved in the raid.
The first is described as having a stocky build and the other a thin build. They were wearing all black clothing, gloves and balaclavas.
Thames Valley Police said that the white Skoda Octavia travelled into the High Street from Church Street and into Heath Hill Road South between 10.06pm and 10.11pm.
It then travelled down High Street at 10.18pm in the direction of Dukes Road.
The vehicle is believed to be registered between 2008 and 2013 and has a distinctive non-standard black roof, which may be a vinyl wrap.
Investigating officer PC Paul Bentley, of Loddon Valley Investigation Hub, said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who saw a similar vehicle in the High Street or Crowthorne area and also anyone who may have seen it travel down Heath Hill Road South area at around the time of the offence.”
