An oak tree was set ablaze in Emmbrook on Sunday evening.
The fire brigade were called to the site, just off Old Woosehill Lane to deal with the burning tree.
The engine was parked in Meadow Road.
The Wokingham Paper understands that a householder said that the tree was well alight with flames and, as they were worried it could fall on to nearby houses, they called 999 around 6pm on Sunday, June 17.
Reports are that the tree is very large, very charred and very blackened.
This is not the first tree that has been set on fire in Wokingham over the past few weeks. Another was ablaze in Woosehill last weekend and The Wokingham Paper understands that there have been another two incidents and they are likely to be caused by anti-social behaviour.
The Wokingham Paper this week has launched an investigation into the problems of anti-social behaviour that are currently plaguing the borough. You can read the first part here.
