POLICE has arrested a man and a teenager from London after a man was stabbed in Woodley on Thursday, April 26.
Vauxhall Park, off Vauxhall Drive, was sealed off by police to allow them to carry out forensic work following the incident.
They have also been conducting house-to-house enquiries and reviewing CCTV footage.
Two arrests have been made: a 20-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and a 17-year-old boy, also from London, has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent, attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
A spokesperson for the police force said: “It is an alleged GBH after a man sustained knife wounds in the vicinity of Vauxhall Park.
“It is believed a group of offenders assaulted the victim with a knife.
“The victim has been treated in hospital and has since been discharged.
“Police officers are carrying out forensic work, as well as house to house enquiries and taking witness statements.
“CCTV is also being obtained and reviewed.”
