Swallowfield Show will return this August bank holiday weekend for its best year yet.
The event aims to raise thousands of pounds for good local causes while providing a fun day out for all the family.
In the arena, you can expect to see the Rockwood Dog Display team, who will show you how you can train your dog to be more obedient, to jump through hoops and even how to apprehend a criminal.
Jez Avery is a stuntman who holds many Guinness World Records, and he will definitely wow audiences. Local falconers will also attempt to take your breath away in the arena by demonstrating their amazing birds.
The most traditional element of the show will be there too; the Parades of Classic Wheels attracts more than 100 each day including cars, motorcycles, tractors and commercial vehicles.
On Monday, a Scout and Guide Band, the Spitfires from Eastleigh, will be performing. They are now recognised as one of the top bands of their kind in the country.
With live music on the village green, trade stands and craft and artisan food marquees for you to browse in between the arena spectacles, there is plenty to keep you entertained.
There’s even a horticultural marquee, a dog show and a horse show.
But that isn’t all; there’s a climbing wall, a wild west display, ferret racing and plenty of donkey available to be ridden. With Punch & Judy, a children’s fun area and a fairground, you will never want to leave!
The show will be held on Sunday, August 25 and Monday, August 26 in Swallowfield Park, Reading. Gates open at 10am, and adult tickets are £10 while senior tickets are £8.
Children under 18 may go free when accompanied by an adult, and there are reduced priced tickets available online.
