VEGAN sausage rolls and fresh loaves will soon be served to Lower Earley residents.
National bakery chain Greggs is continuing its expansion plans with a new Lower Earley store.
Full details are yet to be unveiled by the firm, with speculation that it will go into the Asda complex once Martins the newsagent leaves later this summer.
Greggs has been recruiting for staff including a role of shop supervisor, with hourly rates of £9.22 for the right applicant.
The company says in its job description: “Successful applicants need to be prepared to travel for training to Reading town centre, Woodley or Wokingham until the new store opens.”
And a Greggs spokesperson confirmed the opening.
They told The Wokingham Paper: “We’re looking into the possibility of opening a new shop in Lower Earley later this year and will have more information about exactly where and when soon.”
