IT IS summer’s last hurrah. Come Tuesday, thoughts will be not on the holidays but on getting ready for the school run.
So it’s important to make the most of this weekend’s bank holiday.
There is, as always, lots to do on our doorstep.
Many of you will be making a date for the new-look and exciting Swallowfield Show, which is in a new location.
Others will go to Cantley Park, also for a festival heading to a new location.
This year’s Wokingham Festival promises to be the best yet: three days of great beers, great music and great food. With something for all ages to enjoy, it’s well worth taking the family along to.
And in Wokingham’s town centre there is also the wonderful Sunny Saturdays initiative taking place.
Yes, there might be a rather noisier and brasher music festival taking place up the road in Reading, but for those of us lucky enough to live in the borough, we’ve got a brilliant weekend right on our doorstep.
Make the most of your weekend and make a date for these brilliant festivals.
Oh, and you might see yourself in The Wokingham Paper next week.
