The annual Swallowfield 10k took place this morning, around the streets of the village.
Roads were closed to allow competitors the chance to compeete in a Road Race, a Duathlon and a 3K Fun Run.
Every competitor who completed the course received a finishers medal and there werespecial awards for the fastest in class.
The 3K fun run, which was mostly competed by junior runners, took place on an (almost) completely off road course mainly on grass through the grounds of Swallowfield Park.
The Duathlon consists of a 6.7km run through Farley Hill, followed by a 18.5km cycle across rural West Berkshire and finishing with a flat 3.7km run around Swallowfield.
Organised by the 1st Swallowfield Scouts, the event raises funds for the youth group.
