Wokingham and Emmbrook have been given a stay of execution to remain in Hellenic Division One East.
It had been feared that the Sumas would not be able to remain at step six due to Lowther Road not currently complying to ground grading regulations.
But Wokingham have been allowed to stay in One East, where they finished sixth last season, on the basis they play at a G Grade compliant ground until works at Lowther Road are complete.
They will be joined in One East by Woodley United, following their relegation from the Hellenic Premier last season. The Kestrels will again play games at Highmoor Ibis’ Rivermoor Stadium. Henley Town also return having dropped out during last season while new sides Abingdon Town and Chalvey Sports join that league.
Binfield remain in the Premier after their seventh-placed finish. There had been a suggestion they could be switched over to the Combined Counties, but they retain their place in the Hellenic step five structure.
There are five new faces in the Hellenic Premier with Ardley United, Shrivenham, Virginia Water and Bishop’s Cleeve all promoted while Holmer Green switch over from the Spartan South Midlands League.
The other side in the borough, Eversley and California, will again play in Combined Counties Division One under new boss Ellis Woods. That league has a new look to it with seven clubs switching over to compete in the 19-team structure. They include Sandhurst Town, Farnham Town and British Airways.
