STAFF and residents at two of the borough’s care homes are celebrating after their parent company has made another appearance in a top awards scheme.
Brighterkind, which runs Swallowfield-based Woodbury House Care Home and Wokingham’s Berkshire Care Home, features in the Top 20 Care Homes Group Awards, from the customer review site carehome.co.uk
Woodbury House has contributed to this award by achieving a rating of 9.7 out of a possible maximum of 10, based on reviews given by residents, their families and visitors to the home.
The UK group awards are based on the average of all the review scores for the homes in each care group and brighterkind achieved 9.5 out of 10 across its 70 care homes in the UK.
There is no order of ranking given for the top 20 care groups.
Lorraine McGarry-Wall, Chief Operating Officer for brighterkind, was delighted.
She said: “It’s a credit to the dedication of the teams in all our care homes that the very positive comments and recommendations have placed brighterkind as one of the most highly recommended care groups in the UK.”
