Wokingham are up to third in Home Counties Premier 2 after a 147-run thrashing of high-flying Great and Little Tew.
The Oaks were facing a side previously unbeaten this season, but they put themselves in a commanding position in the first innings.
In the first of a series of timed matches as opposed to 50/50 win/lose games, Wokingham batted for 58 overs at the Gordon Taylor Oval, posting a total of 229-2 with Stuart Parsons (87no) and Simon Myles (75no) doing much of the damage. Danny Housego (39) and James Bird (22) also contributed well for the visitors.
And in reply Wokingham excelled with two men taking all the wickets as Great and Little Tew were skittled out for just 82.
Only three players made it into double figures as Iain Muirden (6-40) and Jacob Clark (4-12) tore through the order.
Victory lifts Stuart Hayter’s men up to third in the table and they would be in the second promotion spot were it not for their opening day 20 point deduction for fielding an unregistered player.
Wokingham host Harefield on Saturday.
Up in Home Counties 1, Finchampstead became just the second side this season to deny leaders High Wycombe victory.
Dan Marles returned to his old club for the first time since joining Wycombe over the winter, but failed to make a huge impact with either bat or ball.
Finch lost the toss and were put in to bat with opener Andrew House (40) starting well.
With Greg Smith dismissed for just two, danger man Dan Lincoln came to the crease, but he was clean bowled having also added just two runs to the tally.
That meant other men needed to step up with Simon Bell (35), Josh Lincoln (30), Tommie Predgen (32) and Darron Augustus (35no) all helping to push the score to 214 before being bowled out in the 62nd over.
High Wycombe began well in reply but when Rehan Akram clean bowled Marles for just seven, the hosts had some hope of victory.
Light rain began to fall with the visitors agonisingly close to victory before it was deemed too heavy to carry on with Finches claiming a draw as Wycombe were stopped on 201-5, just 14 runs from victory and with five overs due to play.
Finch sit seventh in the table and travel to Slough on Saturday.
