A WOKINGHAM charity that works with children who need specialist support is planning to open the gates of its stables to hold a special Christmas experience.
JAC (Just Around The Corner) provides an equine-assisted learning programme from its Forest Road base, but on Sunday, December 8, its focus will be on donkeys and camels that feature in the Christmas story.
Its Live Nativity event runs from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, and see groups of 10 travel through the centre to retell the story of the first Christmas, with the theme being fragrance.
Seven different stations will be the focal point for a different aspect of the story of the birth of Christ. At the end of the tour there will be craft activities suitable for all ages, so they can enjoy a souvenir to take home.
At the end of the evening, there will be a special puppet finale.
There will also be a coffee van serving warm refreshments.
Organisers said: “Come and see Christmas, travel with a Magi, meet animals, search for a King and find the true meaning of Christmas.”
Places are free, but the event usually sells out so should be booked in advance.
