A Wokingham community choir are warming their vocals for a special collaborative concert next month. And rehearsals for their 2020 performance as beginning soon too.
Singhealthy- a group of local singers with a passion for challenging tunes- are teaming up with award-winning harpist Melissa Adriana Parmar to perform a variety of music by French composers including Debussy, Faure and Saint-Saens to raise money for local charity Thames Hospice.
The charity showcase, Summer Soiree, will take place at St Paul’s Church, Wokingham on June 29 from 7.30pm. Tickets can be bought on the door or online at: singhealthy.co.uk/tickets.
And if learning Faure’s Requiem is something you’d be interested in, the choir are searching for singers to join their 2020 venture.
Singhealthy will collaborate with Berkshire Maestros’ chamber orchestra Camerata on a unique project which anyone with a passion for the music can join. The performance will take place on March 14 of next year.
Rehearsals will run from July 1 onwards, at 7.45pm on Monday evenings at The Bradbury Centre, Wokingham RG40 1XS.
