WOKINGHAM’S Choral Society is to hold a choral workshop at The Holt School.
The day-long event will focus on gospel-style music, with a centrepiece being a performance of Quincy Jones’ arrangement of the famous Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah, A Soulful Celebration.
The day will be led by tenor Anthony Harris, who trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is a workshop leader and singing teacher for a range of groups including The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain.
The event takes place on Saturday, March 2. Registration is from 10am and the work starts at 10.30am and continues until 5pm. There is a break at lunchtime and singers should bring a packed lunch for this.
Places cost £20 and include the music score, which can be kept.
