The 2019 Half Marathon took place this morning – borough mayor Cllr John Kaiser sounded the starting horn at 10am this morning, sending the runners on their way.
Running in one of the warmest events for a number of years, the Half Marathon started in Cantley Park.
The runners made their way through some of the northern areas of the borough, including Hurst and Whistley Green, before running along Bell Foundry Lane, which has been specially opened for the purpose.
Organisers told The Wokingham Paper that 1,996 runners had set off from Cantley this morning.
