An urgent appeal has been launched to find a swimming pool peeping Tom who used their mobile phone to film a woman getting changed.
Thames Valley Police has issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident, which took place in July at Carnival Pool in Wokingham’s town centre.
The incident happened on Thursday, July 14, around 9pm in the changing rooms of the Wellington Road leisure centre.
The victim, a woman in her twenties, was getting changed in a cubicle when she noticed she was being filmed. The mobile phone filming her had been placed under the gap between the cubicle and its neighbour.
On spotting the phone the victim screamed and, the police report, the suspect ran out of the changing rooms.
CCTV image
Although the incident took place in the summer, Thames Valley Police has only just released this CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.
Officers from the force said that he may hold vital information about the voyeuristic incident.
Police said that anyone who recognises the man or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact PC Gareth Davies via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
If you don’t want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
