AN 84-year-old woman has died after being struck by a car in Woodley.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision at Loddon Vale Practice in Hurricane Way shortly before 6pm on Wednesday.
A woman, aged 84, was treated at the scene by paramedics but sadly died of her injuries. Her identity has not been released but we understand her next of kin have been informed and are being supported.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday morning: “Thames Valley Police officers were called at 5.49pm yesterday by the ambulance service (29/9) following reports that a woman had been in collision with a car in Hurricane Way, Woodley.
“Officers attended the scene where a 84-year-old woman had received serious injuries. She received emergency medical treatment but sadly died of her injuries at the scene.
“No arrests have been made, and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with any information is asked to call Thames Valley Police on 101.”
