A WOMAN in her sixties has died following a collision with a lorry in Wokingham town centre yesterday afternoon.
Thames Valley Police confirmed today (Friday) that the lady, who has not yet been formally identified, died after suffering multiple injuries.
The woman’s next of kin have been informed.
The collision happened shortly before 2pm yesterday at the crossroads between Station Link Road, Wellington Road and Barkham Road.
Ambulance crews, fire crews and police officers were all called to the scene and the woman was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with what were described as ‘multiple life-threatening injuries’.
The roads were closed for several hours while emergency services attended the scene.
