TWO WOMEN were stuck in a lift for more than two hours before being rescued by firefighters on Tuesday night.
A pump from the town’s fire station was needed at the offices of Advansys in Molly Millars Lane to rescue the stranded employees.
It was only because the lift had glass doors the women were spotted.
Neither were carrying a mobile phone at the time, so it was either a security guard or passer by which raised the alarm just after 7.30pm.
As the premises were closed, the crew had to gain entry before using a lift door key and screwdriver to free the pair.
Neither of the women were hurt or injured during the incident.
