WOODLEY picked up their first victory of the season as they travelled to Goring on Thames and displayed comfortability with a 50-run triumph.
Woodley won the toss and elected to bat. A stubborn opening partnership proved to be the catalyst for their innings as Richard Duck Stanley (34) and captain Fasul Nufail (42) were tricky for Goring on Thames to dismiss as they amassed exactly half of their sides total score.
Several disappointing innings in the middle order led to a small collapse for Woodley as Goring on Thames bowler Parvesh Dabra picked up four wickets.
But, number 10 batsmen Miraque Badurdeen scored a respectable 15 runs to help the hosts reach 152 before they were bowled all out after 38.1 overs.
Woodley made a brilliant start to their bowling and fielding as they dismissed the opening four batsmen for a combined score of just 11 runs as Arshad Mohamed made the breakthrough before Mohamed Rizman picked up three consecutive wickets.
Donavan Norman (22) and Stephan Wincott (24) proved to be a difficult partnership to break in the middle order.
But once Wincott was dismissed, Woodley cruised to a 50 run victory as they bowled Goring on Thames all out for just 102 after 38 overs.
