A CHANCE to find out how a soldier from Reading came to be the subject for a statue will be on the cards thanks to the Woodley Retirement Group.
Curators of the Berkshire Yeomanry Museum will talk about the history of the Yeomanry from the late 1700s to today, leading up to Trooper Potts being awards a Victoria Cross and then become subject of the statue that stands outside Reading’s Crown Court.
The event runs from 2pm on Friday, February 22 at Coronation Hall in Headley Road, Woodley.
