Woodley United manager Jon Laugharne has resigned from his position as first team manager after the Kestrels were beaten 6-1 by Wokingham & Emmbrook on Saturday.
Laugharne, who held the manager’s position at Woodley since the beginning of the 2018/19 season, departs after a difficult start to the club’s Hellenic League Division One East campaign with the Kestrels second from bottom in 16th place.
Woodley now begin their search for a new manager with the club seeking a change in fortunes having picked up just four points in 12 league matches this season, winning just once.
A statement on Woodley United Football Club’s website said: “The club’s board of directors thank Jon for his considerable contribution during this time and the way he approached with vigour and dedication the challenges the team faced following relegation from the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division and wish him all the best for the future.
