A RARE chance to hear the world-famous Tredegar Band will be offered at a free work-in-progress performance in Woodley this Friday – October 11.
The Reading Spring Gardens Band, which rehearses at Christ Church in Crockhamwell Road, is welcoming their special guests for an evening of music. The venue for the open performance has been changed to Coronation Hall in Headley Road.
The band are rehearsing, but the audience will barely notice.
They are practising for the National Championship of Great Britain and performing the set work for the contest – Titan’s Progress by Hermann Pallhuber. Their conductor is Ian Porthouse.
The evening of music starts promptly at 7pm, with doors opening at 6.45pm.
