EARLY morning burglars are being sought by the police following two dawn raids in Wokingham.
The incidents took place on Sunday, April 28 and in both cases the thieves fled empty handed.
In the first case, the would-be thieves targeted a home on Bean Oak Road around 3.20am.
Thames Valley Police said that the offenders tried to gain access via the bi-folding door at the rear of the property.
After a few failed attempts they smashed the glass panel of the door. This set the burglar alarm off and the offenders exited via a side wall to the property and ran down Woodrow Drive.
The second incident occurred later the same morning at around 4am on Rances Lane.
The victim, a 47-year-old woman, was woken by a knock at her front door. She went downstairs and looked through a window and saw a man standing at her door with what she believed to be a weapon.
Police said that the man left without gaining entry or causing damage.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Paul Bentley, who is based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “I am releasing CCTV images of these men as I believe that they may have information that is vital to this investigation.
“I am urging anybody who recognises these men or has any information in relation to either of these incidents to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference ‘43190126766’ or make a report online.
“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”-
