Young South Reading FC footballers scored lucky when they received a surprise early Christmas gift from Thames Valley accountants Vale & West last month.
The unexpected gift- smart new boot-bags for their New Year fixtures- were a token of Vale & West’s 125th anniversary celebration which involved members of staff selecting community activities in the Thames Valley for worthy support.
And senior accountant at the firm, Lauren Ball was quick to nominate Youth South Reading FC as a deserving group.
Ms Ball -who highlighted the prospective football stars’ need for new boot bags- also has a personal connection to the group owing to her late father Darren Ball’s 17-year loyalty to the team in his roles as Coach and President.
The bags which Vale & West recognize as a tribute to Mr Ball’s “long, unstinting and invaluable service to South Reading FC” were also produced in the club’s colours.
Lead partner of independent accountancy Vale & West, Jason Pyke said: “The success of our 125-year business has been underpinned by our service commitment to local clients, and it was only fitting in our special year that we should recognise Darren’s own individual commitment to this local club.”
Vale & West have been assisting businesses since 1894 and has built a strong reputation for providing excellent advice and first-class accountancy services to businesses and personal clients alike in the Thames Valley and beyond. For more information log on to www.valewest.com
