HUNDREDS of youngsters had three good reasons to head to Twyford last Saturday.
They were taking part in the third Twyford Kids Triathlon for children aged between eight and fourteen.
A trio of courses including swimming at Polehampton Junior School and running and cycling at the King George V playing field, attracted 225 competitors.
Every child who finished received a medal and event memento, with special bonus prizes for the top boys and girls in each age category.
Organiser Ellie Barnes said: “It was amazing to see so many children take part in the Triathlon, all of them supported by parents, carers and family as well as the people of Twyford.
“I think the triathlon and the duathlon we ran earlier this year, are so popular because the children take pride in their achievement and are keen to break their previous records.”
